Research Methodology
The best way to collect data for this project would be to find out fully, what the public feel about the digital change over. This will be done with a mixture of primary and secondary resources, How this could be done is either by questionnaires or focus group, the questionnaires will be handed out to about 10-15 people this will give a good view to how people feel. The best secondary sources for this will be the Internet apart from being ready and easy to use there will be different type on the hypothesis; there will be different forms to get more public opinion on the subject.
This is why this is the right way to find out the appropriate information for the subject, there will be problems when trying to find certain types of information for example why the government is really doing this not just the reasons they say (ref 1) http://www.digitaltelevision.gov.uk/wswitchover_home.html
Digital TV is more efficient. Digital TV can carry many more TV services in the spectrum previously occupied by one analogue service. Switching off the analogue Switchover will ensure the UK keeps pace internationally. Switching the terrestrial TV system to digital will ensure the UK keeps pace with other countries. Most European states will have completed switchover by 2012.

The kind of information that the questionnaire will show should be things like how they feel about the change over, how useful the information given to them has been what they think of the governments choice to change over and any problems they for see.
The information colleted will be analyzed and put into one of two groups; one will be for the people who have strong feeling for the change over and the other for those against it. Once this has all been sorted it will be put into charts, to show the findings this will allow the researcher to fully understand how people feel about the change over. Apart from this form of research there will be another look into the current options, on the change over and the feeling towards it they will be analyzed in the same way.
The kind of data that the questionnaires will hopefully show is, how the public really feels about the digital change over, what they hope from it and what the government will do about any problems that come up when its complete.
